Heidi created these “Conversations about Books,” during Covid and continued to write and publish them until her passing on May 13, 2026. She didn’t get to write a farewell newsletter. If she had, she would have expressed her deep gratitude for you, her readers, many of whom she never met. As a book lover, she understood how connections form between writers and those hungry for their words. She was someone who needed truly great books in her life. She valued being on the other side of such a relationship and considered it an honor to write for you. Hopefully such a profound spirit will continue to move through our days and nights and keep leading us all to the right books. Happy Reading!
